Whitetail Fishin Harold's Interest and Hobbies Traveling Tunes

Daddy was always a busy man, but his favorite pastimes was listening to country music. As a young man he learned to play the guitar which was a family tradition. Daddy and I always had an on going argument about "Watching" country music on television. Which consumed about 90% of his TV viewing. He would drive near and far to attend concerts of his favorite entertainers.

Another of his hobbies he indulged in was fishing. Daddy like to spend many of our vacations fishing on the gulf flats of Florida. Although he enjoyed fishing the sea, many countless days were spent at local rivers and ponds. We wondered whether or not Daddy loved catching or eating his fish the most. One of the things our family could count on the most was a fish fry at least once a week.

Hunting was also an interest of his and he brought home many trophy bucks. During the fall and winter months when deer hunting was in season we could always know in the early morning hours he would be headed for the woods. Daddy liked game bird hunting and was one of the first hunting sports he participated in. Like with his fish fry's we had frequent dove and quail suppers.

As his retirement years came he loved to travel, especially to the North Georgia mountains to visit his birth home. Visiting with family members was always an enjoyment to him as they would have a good old fashion pickin and grinnin session. My parents traveled through out the United States enjoying such places as, Louisiana bayous, Florida's attractions, Great Smokey Mountains, and several times a year they traveled to Nashville Tennessee to the Grand Ole Opry. Always trying their luck at some of the gambling casinos throughout United States.

Now that Daddy has made his final trip. Please follow the link to our final tribute and say goodbye to a special man who was a friend to many, a husband to one, a father to three, and a Papa to many grandchildren.
